MELBOURNE TRIP UPDATE # 1
after countless attempts to download adobe photoshop, the noob finally managed to get herself a 30-days trial photoshop CS2. have been spending all my free time editing photos taken in melbourne. although the number of photos taken this time are quite "below my average",there are actually quite a number of photos to be edited.
i am such a dedicated blogger AND facebook-er wtf that i actually could be bothered to edit ALL the photos AND upload them to BOTH my blog and facebook.o.0
ANYWAYS,
MELBOURNE TRIP :upon arrival(27.11.07)
i arrived melbourne last tuesday around 7ish,and it was AWESOME to be greeted warmly by the sun.
in case you guys were wondering,it was drizzling and all gloomy in sydney that day.
needless to say, sunshine brightens my evening/night up. also, the sun sets later in melbourne, around 8.30 ish and it only turns totally dark around 9.
upon arrival at jetstar's avalon airport (which appearance is worst than KL's LCCT but service is 100 times more efficient.),i took the shuttle bus to southern cross station in the city.
avalon airport: arrival "terminal"
on the way to southern cross station.
jane and eugene picked me up from the station and we went to this grill restaurant in the city to celebrate chai ying's friend's birthday.
and i had:
lamb shank with chips.
it was pretty good but nothing beats hurricane's lamb ribs!!!
*thinking of it makes me feel hungry.=(*
MELBOURNE TRIP : DAY 1 (28.11.07)
explored around the city the next day.
first stop was melbourne central (which is MUCH nicer compared to sydney's central).
the massive clock inside melbourne central. ching took me around melbourne central and later on to bourke st ( not quite sure if this is how you spell it though) as chai ying needed to send a few of her friends to the airport.
its just a whole street of different shops and boutiques, something similar to sydney's pitt st. (its kinda weird that during the first couple of days,i tend to compare melbourne with sydney quite often)
ching and this-random-statue-next-to-the-tram-stop
i had korean food for lunch @ this small and cosy korean restaurant near melbourne central.
couldn't remember what is it called.
my spicy, cold noodles which was YUMMYYY!!!
did i mention before that i LOVE korean food?=)
shashi, hill, ching and i outside the state library.
victoria's state library which is obviously much bigger than the new south wales one,and apparently is one of the trademarks in victoria.
a random pic of the queen victoria building's bathroom.
chai ying took me to several other places later on around the city.
prettyyyy christmas tree.
chaiying.china town.
yours trully.
christmas is in the air.wtf
a close up poser picture.=)
the structure and design is .....AWESOME.(forgive me for the lack of better vocabulary as i have been editing photos for the past 4 hours and its nearly 2am now)
st-something church
ACMI(Australia Centre for Moving Image) in federal square.
they have a few individual tvs and couch where you could watch those selected short films.
we decided to go for it since we were already there.
the short film was kinda dumb,or at least i think it was.
i fell asleep probably throughout half of the movie-.-"
some river which i couldnt remember again (short term memory attacking) near fed square.
ferris wheel outside fed square.
didn't go for it though.wouldnt want to pay 7 bucks for that shit.
chai ying ( the person who took me around for the past one week!) and i
lady luck was at my side as the summer victorian market starts on that week itself.
wouldn't be able to have a look if it were to commence this week.
nothing much to shout about vic mark though, just like another flea market to me,which reminds me of the curve /mont kiara.
except that they have MUCH more varieties of food.from chinese to viets to african to turkish to spanish to german and the list goes on.
jane and chaiying decided to do some "COLOURING" which was meant to be for children.LOL.
the final result.=)
guess what?
i met one of the G6 FOUR PRINCESSES in vic mark!!!!
wen fei aka alicia!!!!!!!!
she was on holidays in melbourne too.
omg,i miss that girlie very muchie and also the 2 other princesses ( serena and sook yen)!!!
camwhoring session!!! LOL.
you have no idea how much junk i had that day.
from fries with cheese and mexican gravy to spanish donuts to honey dumplings.
enjoy life much indeed.
ps: my brain isn't functioning that well after the 4 hours of photos editing session and its 2.12 am now.so mind my grammar/poor vocab and any bs which doesnt make sense.
more updates soon! ( i hope)
